Your therapist is required to ask for this information to provide the safest and most effective massage session. If this is your first visit to our office, please arrive 10-15 minutes early to get registered and start promptly.

Intervention Massage LLC is compliant with and subject to the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Only your therapist and those to whom you give written release of information, i.e. other healthcare providers, will have access to your client records.

Yes. You can ask the therapist to avoid specific body parts. Usually, you will have that conversation before your session begins when you give your informed consent. However, if at any time during the massage you wish to modify your consent, that is certainly allowed.

Instruction will be given to undress to your level of comfort, usually down to your underwear. It is your choice, and you will always be covered during your massage, except for the body part receiving treatment. However, massage can be performed when you are fully clothed, though the reduced access to soft tissue diminishes effectiveness of the session.

We will use top sheet draping or other appropriate covering to ensure your privacy and comfort. Only the body part being treated will be uncovered. If you feel uncomfortable or uncovered at any time during the massage, please immediately advise your therapist.

The client or therapist has the right to terminate the massage session at any time.

A tip is appropriate for exceptional service. The customary tip is in the 15% to 20% range.

Massage therapy interrupts the transmission of pain sensations by raising the concentration of endorphins and other neurochemicals in both the circulatory system and the central nervous system. It may take a few hours to feel the effects from your massage. Chronic conditions may require additional sessions to achieve lasting relief. Conditions of acute injury or otherwise beyond our practitioners’ scope of practice will be referred to another healthcare professional.
